Hello, I am from Charleston, SC. I was raised in a small “tobacco” town called Hemingway. I moved to Charleston after high school to attend college at the CofC. Before I knew it time had passed and I settled down just on the east side of the Cooper River, in the town of Mt. Pleasant. I have loved living along the South Carolina coast, and have always called the Low Country my home. I have performed extensively along the Grand Strand area and Charleston areas since the mid 1980’s.

In the late 80’s I took a break from gigging. I became a school teacher, and for 31 years that was my main gig. Though I spent most of my time in the classroom, I still played special events, and also in church. My wife, Caroline, and I have 2 children; Emily and Tyson. Both are performing musicians, and they frequently perform with me. During football season we are a house divided- and we are avid fans: Caroline went to Georgia, I’m a Clemson fan, Emily’s a Gamecock, and Tyson is a Tiger. Somehow we survive the season!

By the way, just for kicks I included this video of an old 8 track tape that a friend found. It was a 1976 clip of my old high school band. Those were the days!
